Congo Bars

Pernah tengok resipi ni kat blog Ika, blog kak Ayu S'pore, blog Kak Nor dan beberapa blog lagi..
Tapi hari ni berkesempatan utk menerainya sendiri.


Resepi ni kopipes dari blog Kak Nor. Oleh kerna Kak Nor dag bagi peringatan awal resipi ni manis.. so i adjust sket sukatan gulanya jadi 250g gula.. tp stock brown sugar tak cukup so add sket dgn white sugar... Stock chocolate chips pulak hanya tinggal 200g so terpaksa add 100g chocolate rice.. Emmm sedap.. cukup rasa manisnya.


CONGO BARS

Ingredients,
2 3/4 cup all purpose flour-(315g)
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter, softened-(150g)
1 lb. light brown sugar(453g) - (Ayu used 300g) ~ k.nor letak 275gm  - i guna 250g (brown + white) sugar . Brown sugar ada sket je.. tak cukup. Terpaksa add dgn white sugar
3 eggs-(Ayu used 4 small eggs)
1 teaspoon vanilla
11.5 ounce package milk chocolate chips(326g) - (Ayu used 300g valrhona dark chocolate chopped) -
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)-(Ayu didnt add) ganti dgn walnuts


By mixer:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
Combine butter and sugar using a mixer until blended.
Add eggs, one at a time to sugar mixture, mixing on low in between each addition.
Add vanilla and mix.
Add flour and mix until combined.
Stir in chips and then pecans.

By hand:-(Ayu just use this method) ~ k.nor jugak :)
Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl. Set aside.
Stir brown sugar into softened (not melted) butter in another large bowl until butter disappears. You can use the back of your spoon to help incorporate the two together.
Add eggs one at a time to butter mixture and stir well after each egg.
Add vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts. Mix well.
Add dry flour mixture and stir until well combined.
Coat a 13 X 9 -(Ayu used 10x10)pan with non-stick spray and spread batter evenly into dish(Ayu used parchment paper).
Bake at 170 degree for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown. Make sure you don’t over bake.

Daun kat belakang tu hanya hiasan semata-mata takde kaitan dgn congo bars tu.. tadi minta tolong anak dara pi amik daun kari kat belakang rumah.. dari jauh tengok dia bawa daun ni.. dlm hati ni berkata.. "uih besar benar daun kari aku.. dah subur ke pokoknya.. Bila tengok dari dekat.. ghupe-ghupenya daun longan(mata kucing).. wakaka

  1. hehe.. tak jadi masak kari la ya, jd masak daun longan hehe.. yani nak tau, k.nor siap bawak luqman turun bawah kat pokok2 k.nor tu. tunjuk satu2 daun. daun kari, daun limau purut, daun pandan. nanti senang nak suruh dia amik time nak masak.. siap buat tutorial, camna nak ambil/kerat daun2 tu..hehehe

  4. Kak Nor .. jd juga masak kari.. buat kari ketam. Ketam tu saya makan sorang2.. macam biasalah org lain mkn kuah je.. Sy suruh dia gi amik sekali lagi sambil intai dia dari tingkap..

    Ana.. pernah juga suruh dia gi ambik daun pandan tp daun serai yang diambilnya.. hehehe

    Kak Ayu.. sy pun tergelak bila tengok daun mata kucing yg diambilnya.. tergelak pd dia dah tergelak pd diri sendiri.. sebab dah terperasan pokok kari yg ditanam tu dah subur.. padahal kurus kering lagi pokoknya..
